Dr. Havovi JOSHI
Dr Havovi Joshi is the Director, Centre for Management Practice at Singapore Management University (SMU). She is also the editor-in-chief of Asian Management Insights, and has served as a chief collaborator and editor on several book projects. Havovi is a widely published award-winning case author and has led numerous professional development workshops on case writing and case teaching. She is also the author of the book Tips and Tools: A Guide to Effective Case Writing.
Havovi’s knowledge and understanding of business practice is backed by more than 15 years’ experience in international banking, internal auditing, and consulting services in India, Australia, and Mauritius.
In 2008, she transitioned into academia when she joined the Asia Case Research Centre at the University of Hong Kong. In 2012, she relocated to Singapore where she helped establish the Centre for Management Practice (CMP) at SMU. The role of CMP is to promote two-way learning between academia and business through research, case studies and management articles; and also support inter-disciplinary and hands-on learning for new knowledge to be anchored firmly into the foundation of effective practice.
Havovi graduated with honours from the University of Delhi with a B.A. (Hons) in Mathematics, and then completed her Master in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. She completed her Doctorate in Business Administration from SMU, where her thesis focused on global competitiveness and managing disruption in emerging markets.

Dr. Wee-Kiat LIM
Dr. Wee-Kiat Lim is Associate Director, Centre for Management Practice, Singapore Management University (SMU). He has written and taught cases covering Asia and issues concerning governance, innovation, and technology. He is a co-author of the book Living Digital 2040: Future of Work, Education, and Healthcare. As a researcher, Wee-Kiat has published in top peer-reviewed journals and at flagship conferences in management and technology. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from University of Colorado-Boulder and Bachelor of Communication Studies from Nanyang Technological University. Before his graduate studies, Wee-Kiat worked in Singapore’s telecommunications and defence sectors.

Lipika BHATTACHARYA
Lipika Bhattacharya is a Case Writer for the Centre for Management Practice at Singapore Management University. She graduated with a Bachelor in Computer Science from Vinoba Bhave University, India and a Master of IT in Business from Singapore Management University. She has over 16 years of work experience in IT Project Management, primarily in the Financial Sector. She has worked in many countries including India, Belgium, US, and Singapore. She spends her free time painting and hobby writing.

Dr. Cheah Sin Mei
Dr. Cheah Sin Mei is a Case Writer for the Centre for Management Practice at Singapore Management University. She received her Doctorate of Business Administration from University of Canberra (Australia), following a Master in Education Technology from University of Southern Queensland (Australia) and a Bachelor in Science from National University of Singapore. Her interest in academic research has led to her involvement in two projects with the Nanyang Technological University, namely innovation in SMEs and start-ups, and rumors in social media. Prior to academia, she has extensive experience in the ICT industry, including 12 years of project management experience in the public sector in healthcare, e-government service delivery and communications. She has also worked for POSB and Sony Corporation in the early stage of her career.

Chan Chi Wei
Chan Chi Wei is a case writer for the Centre for Management Practice at Singapore Management University. He graduated with a BA degree in Political Science and Economics from Emory University, and an MBA from Singapore Management University. His work experience includes over four years in banking operations. He is an avid sportsman.

Thomas Lim
Thomas Lim is a Case Writer with the Centre for Management Practice at Singapore Management University. He has had considerable experience conducting desktop research spanning political, economic, social, educational and other policy areas for the Australian High Commission and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. He had also carried out media monitoring, news summary writing, media report collation and content analysis report writing for various corporate clients, many of which are Singapore government agencies and public-listed companies. Earlier on in his career, he was a B2B news portal and trade news magazine editor and writer. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Language from the National University of Singapore, and a Master of Science in Knowledge Management from Nanyang Technological University.

Mahima Rao-Kachroo
Mahima is a Case Writer for the Centre of Management Practice at Singapore Management University. She graduated with a BA degree in Psychology from the National University of Singapore. Her work experience includes the advertising and publishing industry, launching her own baking business, and case writing. She is also a published illustrator and is passionate about baking, writing, and art.
